Tax Acquired Property
Annually, the Unorganized Territory has tax acquired parcels that are sold via a sealed bid process. This process is administered by the Maine Revenue Services. Interested parties may receive a listing of the parcels to be sold and details on how to bid, by mailing a letter to:

The next sale will be in late 2012 or early 2013. If you want a list of parcels for that sale, please return a self-addressed 9 x 12 manila envelope with 6 first class stamps on the front and the notation “2009 LS” appearing on the lower left corner to Maine Revenue Services, Property Tax Division, P.O. Box 9106, Augusta, ME 04332-9106. You may also check our web site late in 2012 or early 2013.
