Tax Acquired Property List

Unorganized Territory tax acquired bid process.

One bid per parcel per bidder HOWEVER:  multiple bids can go in the same envelope.
Bids will be opened by the Division of Purchases, 4th floor of the Burton M. Cross Building, 111 Sewall Street, State House Station #9, Augusta, Maine at 10:00 a.m. EST on January 12, 2011.  All bids must be addressed to the Bureau of Purchases AND MUST BE RECEIVED AND STAMPED BEFORE 10:00 A.M. Eastern Standard Time on January 12, 2011.  The envelope must be marked “Tax Acquired Real Estate Sealed Bid”.  The successful bidder will be notified as soon as possible.

The Executive Director of Maine Revenue Services reserves the right to reject any and all bids.

NOTE:  DO NOT SEND ANY MONEY AT THE TIME OF BIDDING.  The successful bidder will be given 15 days to pay the amount of the bid.  The successful bidder must pay their half of their Real Estate Transfer Tax necessary for recording of deed.

Only the high bidder will be notified.

The next sale will be in late 2011 or early 2012.  If you want a list of the parcels for that sale, please return a self-addressed 9 x 12 manila envelop with 6 first class stamps on the front and notation “2008 LS” appearing on the lower left corner to Maine Revenue Services, Property Tax Division, PO Box 9106, Augusta, ME  04332-9106.
