Sir:
I have the honor to acknowledge the
receipt of your letter of the 29th ultimo relating
to previous correspondence on the subject of
the resolve of the Maine Legislature of 17th
February last, respecting bonds or securities be-
longing to the Disputed Territory Fund; and
to inform you that I have caused a copy
of that communication, with accompanying
notice, to be transmitted to the British Minister.
