Materials for Grantees

Grant Opportunities and Forms

Grants are often available for historical archival and museum collections and facilities projects. The exact nature of the grant programs changes frequently, so be sure to check for updates before planning to apply. This page contains information on four grant programs as well as forms for those who have already received grants.

Recent Updates

Maine New Century Community Program Historical Museum Collections Grants and Facilities Grants are no longer available. The program is terminated pending additional funding.

Historical Records Collections Applications: New application forms will be available by July 11. The program has a simple application form with rolling deadlines (you can apply at any time) for grants of up to $1000. Projects with budgets between $1000 and $4000 will use a form very similar to the previous form, although staffed organizations will no longer be required to provide cash as part of their match. There is only a single deadline for Major Projects -- October 1, 2011.
