a result of P.L. 2001, c. 573, the Board intends to do a complete repeal
and replace of its existing rules to conform with the new statutory
provisions.
CHAPTER
1: Definitions
STATUTORY AUTHORITY: 32 M.R.S.A. §15104 AND §15109(8)
PURPOSE: The Board intends to repeal and replace this rule to ensure
clarity and conformity with the enabling statute.

CHAPTER
2: General Rules Governing Boilers of All Types
STATUTORY AUTHORITY: 32 M.R.S.A. §15104 AND §15109(8)
PURPOSE: The Board intends to repeal this rule governing the general
requirements and procedures for the installation of new boilers, the
continued operation of existing boilers and repair and alteration of
all boilers and to replace it to ensure clarity and conformity with
the enabling statute.

3: Power Boilers

PURPOSE: The Board intends repeal this rule governing the requirements
and procedures for the design, construction, installation and operation
of power boilers and to replace it to ensure clarity and conformity
with the enabling statute.

CHAPTER
4: Miniature Boilers
STATUTORY AUTHORITY: 32 M.R.S.A. §15104 and §15109(8)
PURPOSE: The Board intends to repeal this rule governing the construction
and operation of high pressure boilers which fall into the classification
of miniature boilers because of size, heating surface area, volume and
pressure limitations and to replace it to ensure clarity and conformity
with the enabling statute.

5: Low Pressure Boilers

and procedures for the identification, construction, and installation
of low pressure boilers and to replace it to ensure clarity and conformity
with the enabling statute.

and conformity with the enabling statute.

and procedures to be followed in performing any welded repair, alteration,
or piping fabrication on boilers or pressure vessels not exempt by law
and to replace it to ensure clarity and conformity with the enabling
statute.

and pressure vessels under ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes and
to replace it to ensure clarity and conformity with the enabling statute.
