EXPECTED 2004-2005 RULE-MAKING ACTIVITY: We expect to begin the APA process late in October 2004 (pending Baxter State Park Authority approval) and continue through the necessary time period to make changes to several of the following Rules.

Baxter by 1) protecting the natural resources and wilderness experiences in Baxter Park, 2) providing for human safety and 3) providing for responsible fiscal management of the funds upon which the Park is dependent.
ANTICIPATED SCHEDULE: When the need arises to alter this regulation, we will make very specific changes to protect the resource and uphold the best interest of the public's trust in the Park and ensure that decisions made today protect the Park for the enjoyment of generations of Mainers in the future.
