CONCISE SUMMARY: The proposed changes to the State of Maine Rules Relating to Drinking Water will ensure that all new community and new nontransient, noncommunity water systems commencing operation after October 1, 1999, demonstrate technical, managerial, and financial capacity with respect to each national primary drinking water regulation in effect, or likely to be in effect, on the date of commencement of operations.
STATUTORY AUTHORITY: Title 22, Subsection 2605.
PUBLIC HEARING: A Public Hearing is scheduled for Monday, December 28, 1998 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Maine Emergency Management Agency Conference Room, Room B8, located in the basement of the State Office Building, Augusta, Maine.
