Secretary of State, Charles E. Summers, Jr. and AAA Welcome Hall-Dale Students to Their “Young Drivers Safety Awareness” Presentation

Secretary of State Charlie Summers along with AAA will bring his anti-texting and driving educational presentation– “Young Driver Safety Awareness” – to Erskine Academy, 309 Windsor Road  South China, on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Secretary Summers will be joined by Hall-Dale Seniors, Zac Stearn and Matt Ingalls.  Originally a capstone project required for graduation, Zac and Matt created  “Distracted Driving Awareness Program” (D.D.A.P.) which advocates against distracted driving in an interactive “peer to peer” experience they will share with Erskine students and faculty.

Secretary Summers will also present Erskine Academy with a copy of “Point of No Return,” a video produced locally by Video Creations, a Kennebunk video production company that stars Kennebunk High School students. The video provides a powerful message for young people on the dangers of drinking and driving. Summers hopes all schools will show this video to the entire student body in an effort to promote the dangers of Drinking and Driving during prom and graduation season.
