PDF files on the State Planning Office web site

The State Planning Office publishes many of its documents in PDF format. Adobe Acrobat Reader® is free software for viewing and printing Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) files on all major hardware and operating system platforms. To download the free software for accessing PDF files click this link:

If you are having trouble viewing Adobe PDF files, you can do one of a couple different "fixes".

One option is to opposite click once on the file, select "save target as", then save it to your hard disk, and open it from there.

OR

Update your web browser, for example, older versions of Internet Explorer may have trouble opening some pdfs, download Internet Explorer 7 here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/ie/getitnow.mspx

OR

You can adjust the browser setting in the Adobe Reader software. The following adjustments will work if you are using Internet Explorer.

Adobe Acrobat 7.0:

Open the Adobe Reader Program

Choose: Edit

Preferences

Internet

De-select (or uncheck) the box that says “Display PDF in Browser”

 

Adobe Acrobat 5.0:

Open the Adobe Reader Program

Choose: Edit

Preferences

General

Options

De-select (or uncheck) the box that says “Display PDF in Browser”

 

Adobe Acrobat 4.0:

Open the Adobe Reader Program

Choose: Edit

Preferences

General

Options

De-select (or uncheck) the box that says “Web Browser Integration”

Netscape

If you need advice on configuring Netscape, visit Adobe’s web site at www.Adobe.com and click on support. Choose “Support by Product” and click on Acrobat Reader. Choose “Windows” operating system and choose “Configuring a Web browser for Reader”.
