Goals: To investigate and interpret the natural history of Maine through a human ecological perspective, through public exhibits and programs developed by students at the College of the Atlantic, with guidance from the museum staff.
Current Programs:
Museum tours and programs, off-site presentations, summer field studies for children, adult and family natural history programs, museum membership program.
Resources: Exhibits depicting the animals and plants of Maine; all exhibits created by COA students; hands-on materials. Museum shop is the science and nature resource store for Downeast Maine, with books, naturalist equipment and natural history gifts.
