Goals: Using law, science and economics to further protection and sound management of all New England's natural and urban resources.
Current Programs:
Clean Water Act enforcement actions; legal action to preserve public right of shoreline access; fisheries management; estuary habitat restoration projects; development of a marine resource management alliance with fishermen, scientists, and conservationists; and promoting marine protected areas in the Gulf of Maine.
Resources: Legal action in court and agency proceedings; studies on toxic contamination of fish/shellfish and on the economic impacts of shellfish closures; economic analyses of resource allocation decisions.
