Goals: To conserve and restore the natural and historic heritage of the Sheepscot River Watershed.
Current Programs:
Land protection throughout the watershed including riverfront lands bordering endangered Atlantic Salmon habitat and in the ‘Forever Wild’ corridor in the upper estuary; trail development on our public preserves including a new preserve along the Sheepscot River in Alna; long term water-quality monitoring program; technical assistance to area towns working on their comprehensive planning; education to residents about the benefits of good environmental practices.
Resources: Sheepscot Log, a newsletter published three times per year; Geographic Information System mapping services; instream water quality data; nonpoint source water pollution data.
