Goals: To display artifacts from historical times concerning lighthouses, the Coast Guard, the U.S. Lighthouse Service, the Civil War, and the City of Rockland.
Current Programs:
The Maine Lighthouse Museum displays the nation’s largest and finest collection of historic Fresnel lighthouse lenses. It also features the American Landmark collection of Coast Guard and lighthouse artifacts. In addition to the Coast Guard, the U.S. Revenue Cutter Service and the U.S. Lifesaving Service are well represented in the exhibition hall.
