Goals: To coordinate and manage initiatives that facilitate passenger transportation on highways, rail, vessels, and in the air within the State of Maine.
Current Programs:
Operates the Maine State Ferry Service; constructing new ferry terminals in Lincolnville and Bass Harbor; undertaking statewide passenger transportation plan; development of a marine highway.
Resources: Management, planning and engineering resources; eight piers and seven ferry vessels.
