Goals: To assist vessels in distress, conduct fisheries law enforcement, suppress illegal activities, promote Commercial Fishing Vessel Safety Program, and mark navigable waterways.

Search and rescue; vessel and fisheries law enforcement; marine environmental protection; fisheries conservation; aids to navigation; and boating safety.

Resources: Aircraft from Cape Cod; medium and small cutter and small patrol craft; buoy tenders and ice-breaking cutters; Coast Guard Auxiliary.
