Goals: To conserve Maine’s wildlife and wildlife habitat by engaging people of all ages in education, conservation and action.
Current Programs:
A unique series of summer vacation continuing education field study camps for adults and youths to include: residential session for adults led by world-class naturalists that offer authentic experiences of Maine nature; vacation day camp during school-vacation weeks in February and April for children ages 6-10 with a choice of one or more days to attend with each day offering a different nature-based theme; overnight youth camp for children ages 11-13 to learn about nature and make lifetime memories; and an overnight camp for teens ages 14-17 offering one-of-a-kind adventures to small groups who live for a week on a spectacular Maine island.
Resources: 330-acre island in Muscongus Bay, a natural setting, and rustic 19th century buildings available for day camp, overnight camp, etc.
