Goals: To promote conservation of Maine's wildlife resources and advocate for hunters, anglers, trappers, and gun owners; and promote conservation education, including saltwater recreational fishing issues, for students, sportsmen, and the general public.

Current Programs:

Fishing Initiative Committee very active on saltwater fishing issues and initiatives; Water Recreational Fishing Committee; Department of Marine Resources Recreational Fishing Advisory; Maine Outdoor Heritage Fund; and many others. TRACKS conservation magazine for elementary students; scholarships to conservation schools; SAM News – a monthly newspaper; sponsorship of television shows featuring outdoor recreation and conservation.
