Goals: To identify and protect the full array of natural diversity, specifically habitats for rare and endangered plants and animals, and outstanding examples of all natural communities.
Current Programs:
Maintenance of 50 island preserves (20 of which are open for careful day use), and approximately 25 mainland preserves; a field trip program; Cobscook Bay Marine Ecosystem Research project.
