MEDICAL FEE SCHEDULE UPDATE– Effective 1/1/2025
In accordance with 39-A M.R.S.A. Section 209-A, the Professional / Appendix II and Outpatient Facility / Appendix IV fee schedules have been updated for dates of service on or after 1-1-2025 (Excel file). Questions or concerns regarding the annual update may be addressed to Kimberlee.McCarson@maine.gov.
MEDICAL FEE SCHEDULE UPDATE– Effective 10/1/2024
In accordance with 39-A M.R.S.A. Section 209-A, the IP Facility Fee Schedule/Appendix III has been updated for dates of discharge on or after 10-1-2024 (Excel file). Questions or concerns regarding the annual update may be addressed to Kimberlee.McCarson@maine.gov.
FISCAL YEAR 2025 ASSESSMENT RATE
On May 14, 2024, the Board of Directors voted to adopt an assessment rate for insurers of 2.41% for Fiscal Year 2025 beginning on July 1, 2024. For more information, please see the Annual Assessment page.
INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS
As of October 25, 2023, an individual who wants to create a rebuttable presumption of independent contractor status may file a statement - Independent Contractor Statement (Form WCB-267) – with the Board. The Board will no longer review or approve Predetermination Applications (WCB-266). More information is available here.IN-PERSON HEARING REQUESTS
Hearings are currently being scheduled via remote technology. If you would like to have an in-person hearing, please see this memo (Word document) and motion (Word document). Requests will be decided by the ALJ's on a case by case basis.
