IV. NARRATIVE |
GAC hired Cianbro to remove and redo the floor in one of the buildings on site. Because the fill underlying the old floor wouldn't bear the loads to which the new floor would be subjected, the fill had to be removed. That was when it was discovered to be contaminated with #2 or diesel. No one there seemed to know how the fill became contaminated.Since the fill was coming out anyway, I just told Goodwin and the Cianbro rep to send what fill that was obviously contaminated to Thibodeau's and be done with it.
