IV. NARRATIVE |
B-656-200212/10/2002 09:30 Peter Goodwin of the General Alum Corp. called to report a spill of approximately 12,000 gallons of aluminum sulphate solution at their facility. It was stated that a worker inadvertently left open a valve on a 100k tank allowing the liquid to fill their storage area. Investigation of the site shown that none of the material escaped the building. The material was then pumped into tank trucks for re-use in their process. It may be noted that the material had a ph of 2.4. It was considered to be "non-hazardous".
