Section 5: Solving the Problem

The First Follow up and follow through

Tasks:

  1. When you return to your office, discuss the situation with the CEO, or other individual with knowledge or expertise in this area.
  2. When you get back to your office, prepare a letter about what was said at the meeting and mail or hand delivered the letter to the owner.
  3. This letter to the owner must be signed by the Chair of Selectpersons/Town or City Manager and you. This will let the owner know that the town has an interest in resolving the issues.
  4. Periodically give the Chair of Selectpersons or Town Manager an update on how situation is progressing.

Keep a computer copy of your notes as a model for future use.
