Training Opportunity Available for Family and Caregivers of Adults Receiving Services Within Section 12, 19, and 96 Programs

The Office of Aging and Disability Services is excited to announce a virtual mental health training series opportunity scheduled for September.

This training is provided in collaboration with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Maine and is available for caregivers providing care to Section 12, 19, and 96 members. Caregivers can include personal support staff, attendants, home health aides, nurses or other natural and family supports.

The mental health training series is designed to allow caregivers the opportunity to receive information on a variety of mental health topics in smaller blocks of time. We will hold these 1-hour long sessions in Septemberwill be.

When:

  1. Mental Health Overview: Monday, September 16, 2024,
  2. Communication and Collaborative Problem Solving: Thursday, September 19, 2024
  3. Empathy and Self-Care: Monday, September 23, 2024.

Time: 3:00PM - 4:00PM EST

Cost: FREE

Registration will be limited to 35 participants. The deadline to register is September 9, 2024.
