Brief Synopsis: Tr. Castonguay received a report of a vehicle driving criminal speed on Interstate 95, Island Falls. He located the described vehicle in New Limerick driving 103 mph in a posted 75 mph zone. The driver stated she was in a hurry to get home. An investigation also revealed she had a suspended registration. Tr. Castonguay issued a traffic summons for her speed and a criminal summons for operating with a suspended registration.

Trooper: Tr. Martin
Brief Synopsis: Tr. Martin was working in the Saint John Valley and was driving through Fort Kent. He heard Fort Kent PD being dispatched to a complaint of a man walking in the roadway obstructing traffic. Tr. Martin was close and located the man The man stated he was protesting by stepping in front of vehicles as they drove past. After several warnings for disorderly conduct, the man was arrested. He refused to submit to the arrest but was eventually handcuffed and transported to Fort Kent PD. It was determined the man was on probation and his probation officer placed a hold on him. Tr. Martin transported the man to the Aroostook County Jail in Houlton.

Trooper: Tr. mahon / cpl. quint (FTO)
Brief Synopsis: Tr. Mahon assisted the Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office with a single vehicle crash. A woman appears to have failed to negotiate a curve, went off the right side of the roadway, and rolled her vehicle. It is unknown at this time what caused her to leave the roadway. The Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the incident.

Brief Synopsis: Cpl Hafford assisted Aroostook County Sheriff’s Department in collecting evidence at an aggravated criminal mischief that occurred at the former New Sweden School. The school had been sold several years ago and has been vacant. Cpl Hafford photographed damage and collected evidence for fingerprinting.
