    Stolen Jeep crashed in FranklinA green 2000 Jeep Cherokee was stolen from Alder Brook Hill Rd in Franklin on the evening of Nov. 6, 2021.  The vehicle was abandoned on the Eastbrook Road in Franklin at approximately 9:10 PM after going off the road and hitting a pole.

    On 10/25/2021, Cpl. Physic and Tpr. Northrup responded to a crash at MM 18. A preliminary investigation showed that Cornelius Hegarty III (43) of Massachusetts was driving north on I-95 when he crashed into another vehicle. Both occupants were transported to a local hospital for complaints of pain. Cornelius was arrested for OUI.

    On the evening of September 24, 2015 the Caribou Fire Department responded to a residential building fire on lower Lyndon Street in Caribou. After putting the fire out firefighters discovered the body of the homeowner 58 year-old Kenneth Zernicke.  Zernicke’s death was ruled a homicide after an autopsy at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office, but the case was never solved.
