PHILLIPS, Maine - Game Warden K9 Storm and Game Warden Chad Robertson located two missing children in Phillips Wednesday evening.

Maine Game Wardens responded to Number Six Road in Phillips at approximately 4:55pm on Wednesday, May 29 to search for two missing juveniles ages 3 and 2.

At approximately 3:45pm the two siblings were both playing outside with their older brother at their home on Heron Mark Lane in Phillips when the two ran down the driveway onto the road and out of sight. The older brother told his parents Alexandra and Ryan Hutchinson who immediately began to look for the two children. After searching the nearby roadways for a short period of time and still unable to locate the children, authorities were called.

Game Wardens searched the area using ATVs, K9s, and a Warden Service aircraft. At approximately 7:45pm, while searching a wooded area off Number Six Road, K9 Storm picked up the childrens scent and was able to follow it to their location. Warden Chad Robertson and K9 Storm located the two children huddled together in a heavily wooded remote area off Number Six Road about a half mile from their house on Heron Mark Lane. The children were checked by EMS personnel and released to their parents.

"This was a great team effort by all those involved", said Sgt. Scott Thrasher who was one of 12 Game Wardens who responded to the scene. Warden Roberston and K9 Storm were the heroes here, helping to prevent these two young children from spending a long night alone in the woods.

Maine Warden Service was assisted by Franklin County Sheriffs Office and Northstar Ambulance.
