MDIFW NEWS: Maine Warden Service K9 and Game Warden Locate Body Of Missing 81-Year-Old Man
ST. GEORGE, Maine - Maine Game Warden Chad Robertson and his K9 Storm located the body of a missing St. George man earlier this morning.
Robert "Bob" Conrad, age 81 of St. George had gone for a walk yesterday afternoon around 4 p.m. behind his residence off Wallston Road. He had not been seen since.
At approximately 10:00 a.m. today, warden Robertson and Storm located Conrad about a 1/3 of a mile behind his residence. It appears that Conrad became disoriented behind his residence, and ended up in an area of woods and briars. He was located on the edge of a bog behind his residence. Conrad was transported to Hall's funeral home where he will be examined by a state medical examiner. It is suspected Conrad died of hypothermia in the bog.
During the search, the Maine Warden Service was assisted by the members from the Maine Association for Search and Rescue and Maine Search and Rescue Dogs.
