This service provides centralized hardware and software required to establish and maintain internet and intranet web sites and web applications.

  • A standardized, dependable server environment that meets the business needs running on the latest version of Windows Server

Service Level Targets & Availability

  • The standard production published service level agreement can be viewed at the following link:http://www.maine.gov/oit/services/FAQ-Help/Standard-SLA.html. A formal SLA has not been developed specific to this service
  • Normal, default coverage is 7AM – 5PM, Monday – Friday. 24x7 coverage is available for systems with a specific need for this type of coverage in order to have 24x7 coverage, OIT needs to receive a written business justification. Once justification has been approved, OIT will work with the business on a service level agreement for the specific systems. Additional charges associated with extended coverage will be defined in the SLA

Options Available for Additional Charge

  • All project work is billable
  • All audit related work is billable
  • All costs associated with Indefinite Hold requests will be direct billed
  • Entrust SSL certificates with custom domain names. Entrust certificates are utilized for strong encryption and browser trust. Effective July 1, 2019, there will be a setup charge that covers processing Certificate Signing Requests (CSRs), generating certificates, and tracking certificate renewals
  • Extra disk storage space - Check the OIT Rate Table for the current 'Storage/Backup Services' rate
  • If 24x7 coverage is required a service level agreement is required and cost is associated with the request based on service level agreement
  • Windows Operating Systems are configured to match the requirements of IRS standards (Safeguard & P1075) with a 90% or better compliance rating. This includes: Administrative fine grain password policy is based on the SCSEM for server admin accounts; NESSUS scans available from Office of Information Technology Security Team and Nexpose scans are required for deployment certification

Customer Expectations

  • Individual users follow State of Maine IT rules and policies, including all security policies
  • A contact person and backup are designated to interface with the OIT team
  • Any issues or problems with this service are reported to the OIT team as promptly and with as complete information as is feasible
  • Billing for services will start when the ticket is received for the request for any production service
  • If a test environment is requested, those services will be billed upon receiving the ticket for the request
  • A ticket needs to be received to remove the service for it not to be billed. No credits will be processed without a ticket
