Summary: In this two-hour CLE, the panel—consisting of MAP Executive Director Julia Teitel, Attorney Christopher Somma, and Assistant Bar Counsel Zack Paakkonen—will discuss what lawyers and judges need to know about substance use disorder. Topics covered will include identifying when substance use in yourself or a colleague has become problematic, what to do if you think that you or a colleague have a substance use problem, what ethical obligations lawyers and judges have when they become impacted by substance use, and how to destigmatize substance use disorder in the legal community.
