Am I Eligible?
To be eligible for unemployment, you must:
- Have lost your job or have had your hours reduced through no fault of your own.
- Be actively looking for work.
- Be able and available to work.
- Physically and mentally able to work.
- Available to accept a reasonable offer of employment.
- Example: You do not have personal responsibilities that would prevent you from working.
- You must have earned enough wages in the 12 to 18 months prior to filing a claim to be eligible.
- The minimum amounts are $6,868.02 in the base period and at least $2,289.34 in 2 of the last 4 quarters. *Amounts are updated yearly in June*
- Base period is the oldest 4 quarters of the last 5 completed quarters.
- Note: If you are not eligible with base period wages, you should still apply as you may qualify on an alternate base period using the 4 most recent completed quarters.

Table 1 - Base Period Quarters Written
The calendar year is divided into four calendar quarters:
- 1st quarter is January 1- March 31
- 2nd quarter is April 1 - June 30
- 3rd quarter is July 1 - September 30
- 4th quarter is October 1 - December 31
