School Review

The Maine DOE's Career and Technical Education (CTE) team conducts two unique reviews- The Comprehensive School Review and Methods of Administration.

Comprehensive School Review: The Comprehensive School Review process is designed to serve two important and interrelated purposes: public accountability and institutional improvement.

Methods of Administration: The U.S. Department of Education Office for Civil Rights requires the Maine Department of Education to conduct career and technical education (CTE) site visits as part of its Vocational Education Methods of Administration (MOA) civil rights compliance of districts that receive federal funding. On-site reviews are based on the following U.S. DOE regulations as well as U.S. Department of Justice regulations.
