Increasing renewable energy generation is a priority for Governor Mills. Maine has made significant progress in this effort.

Energy efficiency creates jobs in Maine while reducing energy costs, greenhouse gas emissions, and fossil fuel reliance.

GEO is actively involved in local and regional transmission planning initiatives to advance affordable, reliable, clean energy for Maine.

Transportation represents nearly half of Maine’s emissions. The state has several initiatives working to electrify the transportation system.
