Confronting Maine's Energy Challenges: A message from Energy Office Director Patrick Woodcock

Our nation, region, and state have become overly dependent on unreliable, insecure, and expensive foreign oil and gas which can undermine economic vitality, impacts national security, and directly affects our economy and quality of life.

The Maine Governor's Energy Office (GEO) mission is to create effective public and private partnerships that advance Maine's energy security and economic development in an environmentally responsible manner. The GEO web site provides clear, concise, comprehensive information and data on energy issues, incentives, initiatives, reports, policies and costs.
