The State of Maine Department of Education is seeking proposals for the development of an Education Portal. The portal is a key component of the Statewide Longitudinal Data System. The portal will serve a wide range of stakeholders in support of improving student achievement and providing Maine’s students with 21st century skills.

You may download a copy of the RFP directly from the Department of Education website at http://www.maine.gov/education/lds/rfp but you must register to ensure receipt of supporting material such as copies of all written questions & responses.
Bidders Conference: November 30, 2009 starting at 1:00 p.m. local time, at the Burton M. Cross State Office Building, 111 Sewall Street, Augusta (First Floor, Room 105).
Written Questions: due no later than 4:00 pm local time, December 2, 2009
Completed proposals must be received no later than 2:00 p.m. local time December 29, 2009 at the following address: Division of Purchases, Burton M. Cross Building (Fourth Floor); 111 Sewall Street; 9 State House Station, Augusta, ME 04333-0009. We do NOT accept faxed proposals. Proposal packages must be clearly marked “Proposals: Maine Education EDW/DSS”. Proposals received after 2:00 P.M. local time will be rejected, without exception.
Anyone able to provide the services is eligible to bid. The State of Maine reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals.
