Pass-Through Funds for Local Initiatives
The Maine Justice Assistance Council is seeking proposals for funding through the Recovery Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program. Administered through Maine Department of Public Safety, the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program supports a broad range of activities to prevent and control crime and to improve the criminal justice system in the State of Maine and create jobs, retain jobs and promote economic growth. JAG funds support all components of the criminal justice system, from multijurisdictional drug and gang task forces to crime prevention and domestic violence programs, courts, corrections, treatment, and justice information sharing initiatives.
SUBMISSION OF PROPOSALS: An original and seven copies of your proposal must be submitted no later than 2:00 pm local time on November 17, 2009 at the Bureau of Purchases, 4th Floor, Burton Cross Building, 111 Sewall Street, 9 SHS, Augusta, ME 04333-0009. Proposals received after the deadline will not be accepted. Proposals must be sealed and must be clearly marked with the bidder's return address and the notation: marked “RFP 200910543 Recovery Byrne/JAG.”
Written Questions: Questions about this RFP must be directed by November 3, 2009 in writing by email to Mary Lucia at mary.a.lucia@maine.gov The Department will respond in writing to all substantive questions received. Responses to written questions will be sent to all who have requested a copy of the RFP.
