- Community Preservation Advisory Committee
- The Community Preservation Advisory Committee (CPAC) advises the Governor, the Legislature, and state agencies on matters relating to community preservation. Its membership includes representatives from the Maine Legislature, state government, municipalities, and the public.
- Economic Forecasting Commission
- The Economic Forecasting Commission is an independent commission that forecasts economic trends for use in making revenue forecasts for state budgets.
- Energy Resources Council
- The Energy Resources Council is an inter-agency, Cabinet-level council of eight state agencies with energy responsibilities. It advises the Governor and Legislature in the formulation of energy policy.
- Land and Water Resources Council
- The Land and Water Resources Council is an inter-agency, Cabinet-level council, comprised of the commissioners of the state economic development and natural resource departments. It advises the Governor, Legislature, and state agencies in the formulation of state policy regarding natural resources management.
- Land for Maine's Future Board
- The Land for Maine’s Future Board reviews and approves land conservation projects for funding from the Land for Maine’s Future Fund. It consists of 11 members: six private citizens (appointed by the Governor and approved by the Senate) and five commissioners representing the departments of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, Conservation, Marine Resources, Agriculture and the State Planning Office.
- Maine Commission for Community Service
- The 26-member citizen commission is Maine’s partner with the Federal Corporation for National Service. It oversees Maine’s efforts to strengthen communities through volunteerism in areas such as environment, health care, education, and emergency response.
- Regulatory Fairness Board
- The Regulatory Fairness Board hears testimony and reports to the Legislature and the Governor on regulatory and statutory changes necessary to enhance the State's business climate. It is comprised of business representatives appointed by the Governor and Legislature.
- Revenue Forecasting Committee
- The Revenue Forecasting Committee is a legislative-executive committee that projects state revenues for use by state budgeters.
- Solid Waste Management Advisory Council
- The Solid Waste Management Advisory Council advises and assists the State Planning Office in reviewing state solid waste management policy, possible development of facilities and programs, and related matters. It is a 14-member council, appointed by the Governor, with representation from: the public; municipal government; and the solid waste industry.
