Regulatory Fairness Board
Note: The Legislature repealed board in 2011 and created a new regulatory fairness board under the auspices of the Department of the Secretary of State. Public Law 2011, Chapter 304

About us: The Regulatory Fairness Board hears testimony and reports to the Legislature and the Governor on regulatory and statutory changes necessary to enhance the State's business climate. It is comprised of business representatives appointed by the Governor and Legislature.

Duties:
- Meet at least 3 times a year in different regions of the State to hear testimony from businesses regarding their concerns about enforcement activities of state departments and agencies; and
- Report to the Governor and the Legislature at least annually on complaints of excessive enforcement actions against businesses by departments and agencies of State Government. The report also must include recommendations for regulatory and statutory changes, if any, that will enhance the State's business climate.
