Economics & Demographics ProgramMaine Personal Income and Per Capita Income DataPersonal Income is the income received by persons from all sources. It is the sum of wage and salary disbursements, other labor income (employer contributions to pension funds, etc), proprietors' income, rental income of persons, dividends, personal interest income, and transfer payments (mostly government payments of pensions, social security, medical insurance, unemployment payments, etc.), less personal contributions for social insurance.
