Natural Resources Agency Task Force

Attached is the final report submitted to Governor Baldacci today. Thanks to all of you who submitted comments in the days and weeks following our final meeting. We worked very hard to incorporate your ideas and suggestions for improving the draft, right up until the present.

I hope that you find, as I have, that our report is a summary of our work together and an overview of "where we got to". As indicated in the cover letter that accompanies the report, we feel as though our work produced a number of strong leads for others to follow as they pick up where we left off ~ by a variety of leaders and in a variety of settings ~ to advance the case for Maine's natural resources and the public and private role for stewardship.

We believe that this report is a fair reflection of your good work. Thank you for staying with it through the life of the task force, and we look forward to working with you on behalf of Maine's natural resources and the sectors of Maine's economy and society who derive such great value from those resources.
