Expiration of the Brassua Lake Concept Plan in Tomhegan Township
Zoning Petition ZP 682-A
Last Updated: December 4, 2023
The Brassua Lake Concept Plan in Tomhegan Township and the associated Resource Protection subdistrict (P-RP 012) will expire on January 29, 2024. The current major landowner does not wish to renew the Plan. The Commission has therefore begun the process of preparing replacement zoning appropriate for the resources present and the existing development within the Plan area.
The Plan covers an area of over 5,600 acres adjacent to Brassua Lake in Tomhegan Township. The expiration of the Plan will not affect subdivisions or development already reviewed and approved under the Plan. Additionally, the expiration of the Plan will not affect any terms of the permanent conservation easements in place within the Plan area.
Please note that an Expedited Building Permit Application has been used by property owners within the Plan area since the Plan was adopted. Upon expiration of the Plan, this Expedited Building Permit Application will be retired, and property owners within the Plan area will be required to use the standard Building Permit Application.

Materials relating to the petition will be posted here as they become available. For current zoning, visit the Commission’s Zoning and Parcel Viewer.
