Active View of Reading

The following resources provide an overview of the Active View of Reading Model by Nell Duke and Kelly Cartwright.  The Active View of Reading builds upon the Simple View of Reading and Scarborough's Rope and incorporates newer research, adding such areas as active self-regulation.  This video reviews what the evidence-based Active View of Reading Model is, some key ideas, and addresses some common misunderstandings.
