The Maine Legislature passed a bill last session that will have an affect on the rules relating to tanning and specifically minors accesses to tanning. Please see the link below:

LD 395 Resolve, to Further Regulate the Use of Tanning Booths by Minors

Additionally, the Resolve requires the Radiation Control Program to develop a work group of stakeholders to evaluate the present condition of the existing rules, training requirements, compliance issues, and funding methods. The work group is charged with developing a report the the legislature (Joint Standing Committee on Health and Human Services) by January 15, 2010.
