Description, How to Apply, and Contact:
Reporting to the Director Information Literacy, you will lead the Library's engagement with assigned academic subject areas.
Within this subject area you will:
- Act as the librarys contact and connect constituents with other library experts
- Represent the library in the development of programs, courses, and other learning experiences
- Act as an information literacy subject matter expert
- Advocate for the promoting of information literacy principles and library content into courses
- Develop resources that teach information literacy, research, and library resource use skills including the creation, assessment, and maintenance of content in research guides, videos, interactives, and other media; and coordination with others to make that material available to learners.
What you'll do:
- Collaborate with academic units across the University based on an assigned academic subject area, develop expertise in the disciplines and associated resources of the assigned area.
- Develop, assess, and maintain of modules, learning objects, videos, and tutorials to teach information literacy within assigned subject area.
- Provide subject matter expertise in information literacy as an integrated member of product and program development, existing program improvement, and other projects.
- Work with other members of the Content Creation and - Research Support team to apply a consistent pedagogical approach for information literacy content.
- Develop credentials such as non-credit bearing badges within assigned subject area as part of the information literacy strategy.
- Identify opportunities to improve resources based on feedback, data, and other information from partners; ensure escalation of high-priority, time sensitive, or important feedback to appropriate partners within assigned subject area.
- Provide research support to learners for escalated questions.
- Participate in Library, University, and external professional committees.
What we're looking for:
- Masters degree in library science or a related field
- 3 years of experience in an academic library or learning resource and support team
- Experience designing learning objects.
- Experience with video and image software such as Camtasia and Canva.
Salary: $65k-$71k/yr
