Pfizer and Moderna Bivalent COVID-19 Vaccines Authorized to Use as Booster Doses in Children Ages 5 Years and Older

On October 17, 2022, the Office of MaineCare Services (OMS) sent an announcement that we will cover the Pfizer and Moderna bivalent COVID-19 vaccine booster doses as outlined in Emergency Use Authorizations (EUA) from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).        

Atrezzo Upgrade

On Monday, November 7, 2022, Kepro will upgrade their web-based platform to Atrezzo Next Generation (ANG). 

Providers are encouraged to log into the updated platform to establish their Multifactor Authentication (MFA) for the launch on Monday, November 7, 2022.

We outlined this process during our kick-off meeting with providers on August 31, 2022. This message outlines the next steps in the process.

CORRECTION to 2022 Rate Update Message, CR 112541, for Section 43 Providers

This is a correction to the bulletin sent on October 28, 2022, regarding rate updates for Hospice Services. The previous message incorrectly stated that the rates affected Section 90 instead of Section 43.

On September 28, 2022, some rates for Chapter 1, Section 43 have been updated in MIHMS effective October 1, 2022, and are now available for viewing on the Health PAS Online Portal.

The Division of Licensing & Certification (DLC) provides regulatory oversight of medical and long-term care facilities in Maine. This includes oversight of the CNA registry, criminal background checks for employers to ensure staff are safe to care for our vulnerable citizens, and investigations into allegations of unsafe practices/events in facilities as diverse as hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and group homes.
