Maine DHHS Provides an Additional $4 Million to Fund Bonuses for Direct Support Workers

The Maine Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS)  is distributing this week an additional $4 million in MaineCare payments to home- and community-based services (HCBS) providers to fund bonuses for  direct support workers across the state. This additional funding is on top o f$116 million distributed in February, bringing the total number of workers receiving bonuses to 20,925.

Use of Palivizumab Prophylaxis to Prevent Hospitalization from Severe Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) Infection 

Effective March 11, 2022, MaineCare will no longer accept Prior Authorization (PA) requests for palivizumab for the treatment of RSV. Scheduled doses will be covered through March 31, 2022. and no further shipments will be authorized after March 31, 2022.
