MaineCare covers Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved and FDA Emergency Use Authorized (EUA) over the counter (OTC) COVID-19 home tests through a Standing Order for MaineCare beneficiaries. COVID-19 tests will be covered with no member cost sharing.

It has been brought to the Department’s attention that the Section 50, Day Habilitation rate effective January 1, 2024, was not implemented on January 1, 2024, as was previously noticed.
The updated rate for Day Habilitation (0907) has now been implemented as of February 7, 2024.

AUGUSTA — The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention (Maine CDC) has identified a case of hepatitis A in a Westbrook food service worker. Hepatitis A is a contagious liver disease caused by the hepatitis A virus. It can spread through person-to-person contact or by consuming contaminated food or water.
The EVV requirements for Home Health providers delivering services under Section 40 were implemented on January 1, 2023.
We continue to offer weekly EVV provider and aggregator trainings. All trainings are online via Microsoft Teams.
