Purpose

The Nursing Home Administrators Licensing Board was established to ensure that qualified applicants for licensure of administrators meet the necessary standards to be qualified and responsible for the general administration of a facility other than a hospital.

The primary responsibilities of the Board is to examine and license qualified applicants for licensure by ensuring that minimum core competency standards for general administration of a nursing home facility have been met, to revoke or to refuse to renew any licenses after proper notice and hearing.

License verifications is available at no charge by visiting Nursing Home Administrators Licensing Board online licensing portal. OPOR does not issue paper license verifications.

Board Notices

NOTICE CONCERNING DELIVERY OF NURSING HOME ADMINISTRATOR LICENSES
Nursing Home Administrator licenses are now delivered to licensees via email. The email sender is displayed as "noreply@maine.gov" and the subject as "YOUR OFFICIAL (license type) LICENSE IS ATTACHED". Paper licenses will NOT be mailed to licensees with an email address on file with the Board. You have the opportunity to update your contact information when you renew your license online or you may update your email address and other contact information anytime here.
