Fundraising Cordinator

Time Commitment

Depending on project, 10-40 hours per month, minimum 12 month commitment

Purpose

This position requires a special person with vision, fundraising and managerial experience to coordinate the library's annual campaign and/or fund drive. This person would work directly with the Library Director and/or Board Chair. The person in this position is responsible for directing the library's effort to raise funds.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and carry out fundraising activities and events for the library
  • Identify and seek opportunities to raise funds for the library
  • Identify potential donors
  • Build a donor database
  • Assist the library's Board of Directors with fundraising activities
  • Represent the library to the community

Skills/Abilities/Qualifications Required

  • Must have previous experience working as a fundraiser
  • Resume and references required to be considered
  • Must have excellent communication, listening, and
    organizational skills
  • Enjoys working with adults
  • Tact, diplomacy and the ability to get along well with others
  • Knowledge of the community
  • Able to effectively motivate adults
  • General familiarity with libraries
  • Must pass a background check
