Maine DHHS posts quarterly update of child fatality data

The Maine Department of Health and Human Services today published a quarterly update of data on child fatalities in the state. 

Today’s update represents the first quarterly update since September, when the Department first committed to quarterly public posting of this aggregate information to allow for greater public understanding and awareness of these deaths.  

Of note, this is not a comprehensive list of all child deaths in Maine. It includes deaths that:

CoverME.gov Open Enrollment Update: November 1, 2021-January 8, 2022

The Maine Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Office of the Health Insurance Marketplace (OHIM) today released an update on plan selections through CoverME.gov, Maine’s new Health Insurance Marketplace.

OHIM will continue to post updates every two weeks throughout open enrollment, which began on November 1, 2021 and ends on January 15, 2022.

Today, the Maine Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) announced its proposal to raise MaineCare rates in January for many home- and community-based services (HCBS), accelerating higher rates initially planned for July 1, 2022 and supporting providers in increasing pay for direct care workers to at least 125 percent of the state’s minimum wage.
