DMR will host a series of meetings for commercial fishermen on electronic reporting. The meetings will feature one-on-one training to set up and demonstrate electronic reporting. Harvesters should bring their own laptop/smartphone/tablet as well as passwords needed to access emails, iCloud, or app downloads.

The Maine Department of Marine Resources will be holding a webinar meeting on Thursday, May 11 at 5:00PM to discuss recent actions by the Striped Bass Management Board at the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission. This will include a discussion of the emergency action passed by the Striped Bass Board to implement a 31" maximum size limit in the recreational fishery for 2023.

The DMR Bureau of Public Health invites you to attend the May Aquaculture Advisory Council meeting Thursday, May 18, 2023. We will start promptly at 10:00 AM and finish at approximately 12:00 PM. This meeting will be conducted in person at the DMR Augusta office in Room 224. Spring Maine-New Hampshire Inshore Trawl Survey to Begin May 1st

The Spring ME-NH trawl survey conducted by the State of Maine, Department of Marine Resources is scheduled to begin May 1, 2023 in New Hampshire working east to Lubec. The more information we have regarding our fisheries, the better equipped we are to defend these resources and your livelihoods. The ME-NH trawl survey provides valuable information for the management of important commercially harvested species.
